MY JOURNEY

Over the course of my life,
I have struggled with…
  • body image, weight and disordered eating

  • skin issues and self-confidence

  • perfectionism, workaholism and self-worth

  • long-held unexpressed grief

  • unmet sexual trauma

  • addiction to cigarettes

  • alcohol dependency

  • unmasking neurodiversity and recovering identity

  • emotional disconnect

  • beauty and my femininity

  • high sensitivity and empathic boundaries

Up until a few years ago I simply normalised the struggle and relationship I had with these areas and issues, at times trying to “fix” or reduce the discomfort and there were some of which, I was completely unaware…

I believe that many women (myself included) have accepted “low-grade” mental, emotional and physical health - and life experiences.  We tell ourselves that this is “just how it is” as we look around, not seeing a way out or the support we really need.

A few years ago this is where I was but, in 2020 I found Ayurveda which, shifted everything for me.

How?

Ayurveda has restored harmony, coherence and integrity to my bodymind that was drowning, numb, depleted and outwardly grasping.

By working at the level of the body, through everyday tending and slowly integrating Ayurvedic protocol and wisdom, I have been creating a safe space for deep healing to unfold.

I have become the safe space for myself, which is everything.

Why?

Many of us try to “fix” or eliminate physical, mental or emotional pain by suppressing the body through pharmaceutical intervention and/or by working at only the level of the mind.

Counselling and psychotherapy are amazing modalities and certain drugs are imperative for meeting someone in critical/acute need, life-saving even.

However, what I have come to inner-stand is that collective, intergenerational and ancestral memory and trauma are held within the living waters of every cell.

Our prenatal, childhood and life experiences are all preserved in our body’s crystalline structure - creating a field of resonance, informing how we epigenetically express and reinforcing the lens through which we see and experience the world and ourselves.

The unconscious mind is the body (and vice versa) therefore, an holistic, integrative approach to healing is needed - with a somatic component, one that recognises the value, intelligence and needs of the body.

Unless we purify, harmonise and tend to our physiology - change will be only temporary.

By aligning with Nature, her rhythms and learning how to support my unique bio-energetic expression, I have been able to affect change at the subtlest levels of my body and mind.

Over these past few years, I have moved through many a dark night of the soul, choosing to commit and recommit to this human journey - descending back into the body for every chance to meet and recover myself in alchemical process and transformation.

Pre-Ayurveda

I have gone from feeling trapped and stuck inside a body that I hated and didn’t understand - to it being my best friend, teacher and guide. Liberation and safety found - and feeling like I am finally alive and waking up inside life.

With Ayurveda

You cannot buy the stability, ease and luminosity that naturally exists within you, but you can help clear the way for it to come through…

Ayurveda is considered the “Grandmother” of all healing sciences; a consciousness-based healthcare system that spans over 5000+ years, pre-dating and influencing Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine as we know it today.

Healing is not simply the removal of pain or undesirable symptoms, it is the alchemical journey of transformation.

If you choose to heal, you are also choosing to become a cycle-breaker - illuminating unconscious patterns, rewriting old narratives and dissolving legacy trauma that have kept your body in a symptomatic state.

This is not easy and your body will need the space, stability and the energy to process the bio-energetic shifts that occur during the healing spiral - because healing is not linear.

For many of us there is a need to re-establish a relationship and trust with the body…she has to know you are there to support her and meet her needs, especially if you are asking her to let go of old habits, harmful coping mechanisms and short-term safeguarding. It is a two way street.

The body is where it’s all at - and anyone who wants to deeply heal, will need to build a robust, clear physical container to anchor and hold the higher frequency version of you that is just waiting to come through. You are that space.

This is where Ayurveda comes in…

This ancient wisdom awakens the intelligence of the body, the healer within - helping you to attune to your original blueprint. It feels freaking amazing. Liberation and love is found moment by moment within daily tending and decision making, empowering you to authentically express.

No-one else can heal for you, and I advise not to give your time, money or power away to shortcuts, by-passing or quick fixes.

Instead, I invite you to step inside cyclical time and be in process - to go within, take up space and allow yourself to be surprised at what and who you find inside.

Ayurveda is the every day - translated from Sanskrit as The Science of Daily Living.

It helps us to wake up inside of life, to remember and reconnect with the wider web, to attune and fully express our unique Nature - our most authentic state and to take our place within Nature - as Nature once again.
